About ME

Hey! I'm Isaac Jean-Paul, and if you ask me what keeps me moving, I'll tell you: It's in my DNA. That's not just a tagline—it's a mindset that fuels everything I do.

Diagnosed with juvenile retinoschisis at two years old, my vision may be limited, but my dreams? Boundless. My imagination became my superpower, helping me see possibilities where others saw limitations.

As a Paralympic medalist with a silver from the Summer Paralympic Games, I've soared over high jump bars and into the record books. Nicknamed "Born to Jump," I've collected achievements including NCAA Junior College National Champion, NCAA Division II National Champion, and gold at the World Paralympic Track and Field Championships.

But my journey extends beyond the track. When I'm not competing, I'm creating stories that inspire young minds through my children's books like Mya's Marvelous Day at the Games and Understanding Disabilities with Mya. Whether reading to kids, mentoring young athletes, or speaking about inclusion and resilience, my mission remains clear: to encourage everyone to discover their inner superhero.

My story is more than medals—it's about moments. Finding courage when life takes unexpected turns, sharing joy with young athletes at events like the Angel City Games, and inspiring others to embrace their unique gifts.

Life's challenges might try to hold us back, but when we tap into our strengths and push forward with purpose, we become unstoppable. After all, being your own superhero? It's in your DNA.
